Graduations tell the world that we overcame, we succeeded. Despite hardships, trials, and maybe more than a little doubt, we triumphed.

Graduations also bring changes with them. We could be going to a university or going on a different path. Maybe the world of employment is waiting for us. No matter what we choose, there will be changes in our lives, and sometimes that can be scary. The Word of God is a great help when we are feeling lost and scared. There are no Bible verses that directly and specifically talk about graduation because of the difference between our culture and society and theirs during those days. But, the Bible has a lot to say about accomplishments and all the other things that graduations usually bring.

James 1:12

“God will bless you if you don’t give up when your faith is being tested. He will reward you with a glorious life, just as he rewards everyone who loves him.”

We all experience hardships at one time or another in our lives. Most of the time, we experience trials especially when we are trying to make our dreams come true when we try to achieve our dream. We must persevere and we will reap the rewards.

Philippians 4:13

“Christ gives me the strength to face anything.”

Nothing is impossible nor too hard for God, and we are His children. He loves and trusts us. With His help, we can do things no matter how impossible they may seem to us.

2 Timothy 1:7

“God’s Spirit doesn’t make cowards out of us. The Spirit gives us power, love, and self-control.”

Fear is a common human emotion but it can hold us back from a lot of things. It can prevent us from enjoying ourselves or trying new things. God removes our fear and replaces it with power, love, and self-control so we can succeed.

“Nothing is impossible for God!”

We, humans, have a lot of limitations. We cannot see the future, we get tired quite easily, and we have limited knowledge. All of this can prevent us from succeeding, but God has no limitations. He is on our side and He will help us succeed.

“I’ve commanded you to be strong and brave. Don’t ever be afraid or discouraged! I am the Lord your God, and I will be there to help you wherever you go.”

We need the courage to succeed. God promises to help us. With His presence, His help, and His strength, we can achieve our goals.

“Careful planning puts you ahead in the long run; hurry and scurry put you further behind.”

They say that patience is a virtue, but it is not always easy to practice. But, at times, we have to be patient to succeed. We have to trust God’s timing and timeline to succeed.

“But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.”

Getting our priorities in order is necessary for success. We have to prioritize God and His will, and our success will be guaranteed.

Matthew 5:16

We are the light of the world. Also, we should let the world see our light and help them fight the darkness. We should also serve as an inspiration for others and help lead them to Christ.

The world expects everyone to fit in the ways of the world. But we should not. We should strive to be like Jesus every day and strive to accomplish His will.

To succeed, we need to trust God. We have to lean on His power and trust that He will always do what is best for us.

God is a solid foundation. He is unchanging. Putting our trust and confidence in Him is the best thing we can do.

God does not just want the best for us. He also wants us to be the best version of ourselves we can be. He is still working with us to help us achieve our full potential.

Psalms 20:4

“May God do what you want most and let all go well for you.”

God cares about us so much and He wants us to go to Him with whatever we need. According to God’s rich mercy, He will grant us the desires of our hearts.

Proverbs 16:3

“Share your plans with the Lord, and you will succeed.”

Wisdom is all about doing the right thing. The right thing to do and also the wisest is to consult God about our plans and let Him lead the way.

1 Timothy 4:12

“Don’t let anyone make fun of you, just because you are young. Set an example for other followers by what you say and do, as well as by your love, faith, and purity.”

Wisdom comes with age but it is not always the case. Being young does not mean that we cannot obtain wisdom. It comes from God and it is always available for us whenever we ask for it in prayer.

Psalms 119:10

“I worship you with all my heart. Don’t let me walk away from your commands.”

Wisdom comes from following God. Staying with God and His paths can lead us to wisdom.

Psalms 32:8

“I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my loving eye on you.”

God is the best teacher we can have. He will teach us the best way we can go. He will reveal His will to us and with His never-ending love, we can accomplish our goals.

Colossians 3:2

“Think about what is up there, not about what is here on earth.”

Focusing on Godly things is the way of the wise. Focusing on the things in this world above all things will only lead to ruin.

Proverbs 2:6-8

“All wisdom comes from the Lord, and so do common sense and understanding. God gives helpful advice to everyone who obeys him and protects all of those who live as they should.

God sees that justice is done, and he watches over everyone who is faithful to him.”

Following God is the way to wisdom. He is the source. We have to obey and follow God’s instructions to succeed.

Psalms 119:32

“I am eager to learn all that you want me to do; help me to understand more and more.”

Praying for wisdom to be able to understand God and His ways is the best thing we can do to succeed and to be able to be guided to what we should do next.

We all want to succeed in our lives. God helps us achieve this and when we do, He rejoices with us.
