What is a Breaking Soul Ties Prayer?

A breaking soul ties prayer is a prayer that specifically targets the ungodly soul ties or spiritual bonds that may be holding you back. Soul ties can be formed through positive or negative relationships, including but not limited to:

  1. Parent/child
  2. Siblings
  3. Marriage
  4. Friendship
  5. Romantic relationship

These bonds are not always bad, but they can become problematic when they are no longer healthy or positively serving you.

For example, if you have a soul tie to an abusive ex-boyfriend, it may be preventing you from moving on and finding a healthy relationship. A breaking soul ties prayer can help break these ungodly soul ties and set you free. Jesus Christ desires for His children to have healthy relationships that honor Him. Know that He is with you in this process.

Why is Soul Ties Prayer Important?

It is important to break ungodly soul ties for several reasons. First, soul ties can hold you back from achieving your full potential. If you are still connected to someone toxic or negative, it can be difficult to move on and create a healthy life for yourself.

Additionally, breaking ungodly soul ties can help you avoid repeating patterns of unhealthy relationships. If you have an ungodly soul tie to someone abusive, breaking that ungodly and evil soul ties can help you avoid getting into another abusive relationship in the future.

Is Soul Ties Prayer Effective?

Yes, a soul ties prayer is effective. It is important to remember, however, that prayer is not a magic bullet. You will need to put in some work to break the bonds of an ungodly soul tie. But if you are committed to breaking free, prayer can help you to achieve your goal.

Breaking Soul Ties Prayer in Every Phase

Breaking ungodly soul ties is a process that happens in stages. First, you need to acknowledge the existence of the ungodly soul tie and decide that you want to break it. Next, you need to forgive the person with whom you have the ungodly soul tie. This can be difficult, but it is important for your healing. Finally, you need to break free from the ungodly soul tie by renouncing it in prayer.

We will discuss each of these steps below, including a prayer for each step.

Breaking Soul Ties Prayer: Acknowledge

The first step in breaking a soul tie is acknowledging its existence. This may seem obvious, but it is important, to be honest with yourself about the relationships in your life. Take some time to reflect on your past and present relationships.

Are there any that seem unhealthy or harmful? If so, you likely have a soul tie to that person. It may even help to list down ungodly soul ties that you may have formed in your past. If you have forgotten their names, just list where you have met or any important information specific to that person that you have formed soul ties with.

These soul ties do not have to be physical. Anyone that you have formed an emotional connection with can be a soul tie. They are called emotional soul ties. Emotional soul ties can be formed even if you have not seen that person physically yet. For others, it may be a long and complicated list. Take your time and allow yourself to go through the process of identifying ungodly soul ties.

If you are ready, you can say this soul ties prayer.

Lord,

I come into your presence knowing and receiving that you are God. You can show me which areas in my life need healing. Only you can point to me what ungodly or even evil soul ties I need to let go of so I can live the purposes you have for me.

You can help me take the first step of acknowledging what I need to take care of. I acknowledge that I have built ungodly soul ties or evil soul ties with (name of person). I want to be free from this ungodly soul tie.

If there are more soul ties that I need to let go of, I pray for the Holy Spirit to show me. Thank you for giving me the Holy Spirit to be my helper in breaking evil soul ties. I receive your grace. Thank you for a life lived in freedom and hope. I receive it.

In the name of Jesus Christ,

Amen.

Breaking Soul Ties Prayer: Forgiveness

The third step in breaking a soul tie is forgiveness. This may be the most difficult part of the process, but it is essential for your healing. You also have to check your heart if you have already forgiven yourself for forming unhealthy soul ties.

If you are ready, you can pray this prayer.

Dear Heavenly Father,

You are a God who forgives and a God who gives a million chances. You are a God who gives mercy. This journey has been both hard and freeing for me. Today, I make this decision to forgive (name of the person). I decided to set myself free from the pain, the hurt, and the past. Today, I choose to love.

I pray that you bless (name of the person). I also choose to forgive myself and I will no longer blame myself for the mistakes I did in the past. You have already forgiven me and washed every stain in my life. Thank you for your forgiveness, Lord. Thank you for the peace that brings healing.

In the name of Jesus Christ,

Amen.

This can be done by renouncing the unhealthy soul ties in prayer, through the help of our Lord Jesus Christ. In this prayer, you will ask God to break the bond between you and the other person and to put a stop to any evil soul tie. You will also ask for His strength and guidance as you move forward without that relationship in your life.

If you are ready, you can pray this prayer.

Dear Heavenly Father,

I come into your presence with boldness and courage. Today is the day that I break the soul ties. I renounce any unhealthy soul ties that I have with (name of the person). Today, chains are broken. Today, I am free. I am forgiven, loved, and healed. I am your child.

The past no longer has a hold on me. I move forward into the future with the assurance that you will continue to give me peace and receive Godly relationships in my life. Protect me, Lord, from people who can veer me away from you. No weapon formed against me will ever prosper or succeed. No evil spirit shall overtake me. I am healthy, whole, and healed. I am a child of God.

In the name of Jesus Christ,

Amen.
